Alan Watson
Worship Leader / Men's Discipleship Director

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. (Psalm 98:4 – 6)

A talented and anointed singer, song writer, and musician, Alan has dedicated his God-given gifts to the Lord's service. He shares his love for the Lord through song, and for more than 20 years has faithfully led a committed and talented Worship Team in ministering to the Lord and to our congregation during our Worship Services. They lead us into the very presence of God through a mixture of traditional and contemporary music. Several years ago he was inspired to compose a gospel musical entitled Sanctuary which has been performed at CLC on several occasions, including a cast of 20+. He has also recorded two CD’s including the songs from Sanctuary and other songs he has written over the years.

Alan has been ministering at CLC for over 30 years in many capacities, such as Sunday School Teacher, Church Board Member and Young Adult Pastor. He has been blessed to be on full-time staff since 2000 as Worship Leader. He also is an anointed teacher and brings forth a fresh word in several weekly bible studies, as well as preaching from the pulpit on occasion.

Alan’s thoughts on worship: "Music is THE international language. It transcends age, nationalities AND denominations. Music touches everyone. I have the privilege of taking this medium and using it for God and His glory! Does it get any better than that? What an honor to serve God and minister to the body at CLC!

Alan and his wife, Patti, have three daughters and four grandchildren.

Bob Meredith
Youth Pastor / Christian Education Director

Train a child up in the way he should go... (Proverbs 22:6)

Typically, pastoral staff descriptions begin with a long list of accomplishments and educational achievements. Bob Meredith is not typical. The best way to describe Pastor Bob Meredith is by saying that he is a home-grown pastor. Christian L.I.F.E. has been his home church since birth, and the training he received here was life-changing. It is here that he learned how to be a minister and it is here that he strives to build God’s kingdom in the lives of young people.

Bob is passionate about training children in God’s Word. He has been blessed to be on staff at CLC since 2000. During that time, he has served in many roles: Teen Pastor, school principal, elementary teacher, and currently as Christian Education Director. On any given day, you might see him behind the pulpit delivering God’s Word or on his way to unclog a sink. He has learned that ministry faithfully wears many hats. Bob directs the flow of ministry to young people from newborns through eighteen year-olds. Bob strongly believes in equipping and empowering teachers to share the love and power of God with our students. He feels that the key to a church’s success is the cultivation of child-like faith.

Bob’s thoughts on youth ministry: “It is critical that children receive the foundation of their spiritual training from their parents’ Godly example at home. Equally important is the spiritual support and training that families receive in the body of Christ. The foundation of my ministry was formed in Sunday school and mid-week family training hour classes taught by faithful people who served as examples of God's love. My mother's faithfulness in bringing me to God's house set the stage for what God wanted to do in my life. The foundation we build in Christ is the most important thing; training does not happen by accident.”

Bob has been married to his lovely wife, Dena, since 1996. She plays a vital role in his ministry. They have two wonderful children, Liam and Ella.
